Yes, you certainly can. This silent retreat is for both beginners and experienced people.
It may seem scary to some to be quiet for many hours, but it is often just our mind playing tricks on us when we are frightened by the thought. If you give yourself permission to be quiet for a limited time and go inward, you can become more aware of your constant thoughts, which affect you in different ways in your everyday life whether you want it or not. By being quiet in a more attentive way, your awareness will increase and this can lead to more aha experiences, which are the first step to being able to learn to change some unconscious and perhaps inappropriate patterns in your life.
Depending on our experience and background, our experiences will be different. By becoming more conscious, we can achieve a greater freedom in our lives, instead of being led around in the ring of our subconscious.

Silent retreats are a way to disconnect from the outside world and immerse yourself in an environment of silence, isolation and reflection. The main purpose of silent retreats is to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their thoughts and their feelings, as well as to develop a sense of inner peace and tranquility.
By taking a break from the constant bombardment of external stimuli and distractions, our attention can be focused inward and we can become more aware of our own mental and emotional processes and cultivate a greater sense of mindfulness. This increased awareness and clarity can help us gain perspective and insight into our lives, as well as develop a clearer sense of our goals, values and priorities.
The silent retreat involves various forms of meditation, yoga/stretching and other mindfulness exercises which can help reduce stress, increase resilience and improve general well-being. In addition, a predetermined short-term disconnection from technology and social media during a silent retreat can also help individuals break their addiction to constant stimulation and improve their ability to focus, concentrate and communicate with others.
Overall, the biggest benefit of going in silence on silent retreats is to calm the mind, reduce stress, gain insight and cultivate a greater sense of inner peace and well-being. By taking time to reflect, meditate and connect with ourselves on a deeper level, we can develop a greater sense of purpose, clarity and fulfillment in our lives.

Before the silence period, there will be some small presence exercises, some theory and introduction and guidance on how you will get the most out of walking in silence/turning your attention inward. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions beforehand.
While you are quiet, there will be guidance by me and/or other instructors in various meditations, mindfulness exercises including yoga/relaxation exercises etc.
If you have a question that cannot wait, you can write a note to one of our instructors/helpers and we can help you as best as possible from there.

Please leave all your technological aids at home. If you do, you and your fellow students can more easily avoid being distracted and can get more out of the course.
If you take your phone with you, I would ask you to switch it off completely and possibly hand it in to one of us when the course starts. You can possibly inform your relatives about Lotsvillan's phone number and email address if they need to get hold of you urgently.
